Shamiso was a pioneering 2013/2014 Kadar Asmal Fellow and holds a Masters in International Development from the University College Dublin. She is a researcher, social justice activist, past procurement expert and SADC Regional Development coordinator.

A 2017/2018 fellow, she holds a master’s degree in Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security from National University of Ireland, Galway. She is passionate about water security, climate resilience and gender equity.
