The Embassy of Ireland in South Africa is a proud supporter and strategic partner of the Kader Asmal Alumni. The KAA provides a valuable network for participants of the Kader Asmal Fellowship to stay in touch with each other, share experiences, and most of all to support each other in their career paths. Each alumni member serves as a bridge between our two countries, a promoter of the opportunities the Fellowship offers, and a future leader in their community and country. Since 2013, Ireland has offered up to 17 one-year Master’s scholarships for South Africans under the Kader Asmal Fellowship Programme, and 2022 marks the Programme’s 100th graduate.
The Kader Asmal Fellowship Programme is a key pillar of our efforts to contribute to promoting inclusive economic growth through educational opportunity and skills development, particularly among members of historically disadvantaged communities.
I encourage anyone who has participated in the Fellowship, both from South Africa and from neighbouring countries to get in touch with the Alumni Association and join a powerful and dynamic network of future leaders!
